Here is a watercolor from the North Fork of the Chena River near Fairbanks. Sadly, a huge forest fire swept through this country, burned this landscape, and destroyed my remote cabin. That was in June of 2004. The meaning of art can evolve over time, and this watercolor certainly took on a new significance after the fire.
